How to understand engine oil
Time: 2009-03-26
By ballistic
Engine oil is not like gasoline, any drop of gasoline is useable does not require any amount as long as it can start, does not require pressure to be used and can come from almost any other source using the same thing, engine oil is the opposite,

Instructions

Step1 Amount, if your engine requires 2.3 quarts, make sure it has that amount, oil pressure is also affected by amount, oil pressure leads to horse power loss, then on and on, keep it full according to the oil stick.

Step2 Age, the newer usually the better, do not let any oil go for more than 6 months, the more dirt the more likely engine damage is, dirt gets into the rings and seals inside your motor and can damage them up, like sand in a carpet, so keep it new or at least clean.

Step3 Oil leaks, this problem can sneak up on you, get to busy and forget to check or it whatever, it won’t cause you burn the engine up or anything close to it but should be checked daily for fullness or fixed if possible, and will cost money the entire time you have one.

Step4 Process, oil has a process in which it MUST have to function, pressure/ full/ new, oil has to be pumped/ sprayed constantly in order to keep the engine lubricated and moving, if it stops your engine stops, no if/ ands/ but's about this, the amount requirement allows the oil to drip from the motor into your oil pan, be sucked up into the oil pump, and then sprayed into the engine for lubrication, if any of this process can not perform the next thing has to stop until the previous function starts again, in other words you stomach cannot digest until your mouth sends it food, mouth doesn’t work, you get hungry, oil is the same way, keeping it full is best.
